7.27.2008 - Jack Brass Band is always looking for more opportunities to play our music for appreciative audiences. From public performances at parades, festivals and nightclubs - to all the private functions - Wedding Receptions, House Parties - as well as the Corporate Gigs - we've got you covered...
The band's been hitting hard the last month - we're back from headlining at the Great American Brass Band Festival in Danville, Kentucky. We had a great time performing for a lot of new faces for us. In addition we've been ripping up the local scene - most recently at Dixie's on Grand, The Times Bar and Grill, St Anthony Main, and Peavey Plaza (MN Orchestra Hall) - not to forget ... "Third Tuesday of the Month" at O'Gara's Bar and Grill - and we look forward to continuing this tradition, and seeing more and more familiars in the audience each month. Help out the band by contacting your favorite location you'd like to see us play, and tell them to book us. Check the gigs pagefor all the details on upcoming shows.
Our new CD, "Traditionally Speaking" is available for purchase (website, CD Baby, locally at the Electric Fetus, and in New Orleans at Louisiana Music Factory). Recorded in January 2007, it features traditional material - special guest vocalist James "12" Andrews, from New Orleans - and liner notes from the director of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The disc has gotten airplay on WWOZ radio in New Orleans, as well as KBEM radio locally.
We look forward to seeing and hearing from you all soon - so send us an email .
