Bio
Music has been a staple in my life forever, and the drums have been my means to be an active member in musical society since twelve years old. My interests most relate to Brazilian and Carribean styles of music, although I've always tried to be as versatile as I can be, playing a little of everything. I have spent time living and studying in Brazil and Puerto Rico. New Orleans and its brass music falls right in line with these Carribean musics, and not only do I love the music, I am fascinated by this musical diaspora and interconnectedness. Currently, I am finishing up a degree at the U of M in music/portugues and spanish/latin american cultural studies.
